Future Ramsey HS Basketball Players Participate in Ram Pride Camp

The Ramsey HS varsity girls basketball team along with 25 campers exercised and sharpened their basketball skills with defense, one-on-one moves, dribbling, shooting, and footwork activities at the Ram Pride Girls Basketball Camp.

Ram Pride Girls Basketball Camp hosted another weekend of basketball training last week, culminating with a 3-on-3 competition that ultimately led the Piglets -- comprised of  Jane DiLauro, Irene Hwang, and Cassie Phillips and coached by Ramsey HS junior guard, Lina Hyman -- to victory.

Guest speakers gave the girls extra insight into the sport and providing tips and tricks on dribbling, speed, agility, the importance of the triple threat and change of direction. Speakers also designed drills for campers to practice what they'd learned.

Rams Pride Basketball Camp returns next year during the third weekend in July.
