RHS Students Attend AIDS Day Conference

Students heard from health professionals and two locals living with HIV

A group of Ramsey High School students learned this week what it is like to be HIV positive.

The school’s Student OutReach Service (SOS) group attended the Youth World AIDS Day Conference Monday at the Clinton Inn Hotel in Tenafly.

According to a NorthJersey.com report, about 450 students from 14 area districts attended the 13th annual conference. Students heard first-hand accounts from two HIV-positive Bergen County residents about how they got, and live with, the disease, the report said.
