Two Pedestrians Struck by Car Receive Police Warnings

The duo was cited for not properly crossing in a crosswalk Thursday night, police said.

Two pedestrians walked away with only minor injuries after being hit by a car at the intersection of West Main Street and Erie Plaza in Ramsey, police announced Friday afternoon.

According to Ramsey Police Chief Bryan Gurney, a 23-year-old man from Upper Saddle River and a 22-year-old woman from Mahwah were walking in the center of the roadway on the eastbound side of West Main Street between Bagel Boys and Brady’s at the Station at about 11:22 p.m. Wednesday when they were hit.

A 46-year-old Ramsey man driving a red Honda hit the two pedestrians as they were crossing the westbound lane, Gurney said.
