Man Had Over 100 Child Porn Images on Computer, Authorities Say

Ramsey resident was arrested on child endangerment charges Tuesday, prosecutor said.

A 47-year-old Ramsey man was arrested Tuesday after authorities say they found more than 100 images of pre-pubescent children engaged in sexual acts on his computer, Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli announced in a release.

According to Molinelli, police obtained a warrant to search Edward Ford's computer after an internet investigation by the Woodcliff Lake Police Department's Computer Crimes Task Force identified his online activity as suspect. The prosecutor said the task force had seen Ford download and transmit photos and videos of children engaged in sexual acts.

Cops found more images of child pornography during the search of his Ramsey home, Molinelli said.

Ford was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, authorities said, and was remanded to the Bergen County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
