Thomas McNaboe, TV Sales Business Analyst, Dies at 55

Ramsey resident Thomas "Tom" McNaboe  died unexpectedly Dec. 28 while in Edinburgh, Scotland, according to a recent notice on the website of the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home. He was 55 years old.

McNaboe was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and grew up in Orangeburg, N.Y. Tom is predeceased by his parents, John and Jean McNaboe.

He spent his career working in television sales. McNaboe worked for 14 years at Disney/ABC as a senior business analyst in New York City. When his children were young, he briefly left Disney/ABC to work at Sony and be closer to home. During his seven years at Sony, he made lifelong friends with whom he remained in close contact, even after eventually returning to the position he loved at Disney/ABC.

McNaboe's family and friends recall him for having a kind-hearted spirit and a gregarious personality.


He is survived by his wife, Beth; children Brittany, Taylor, and Ashleigh;  siblings Maureen McNaboe, of Congers, N.Y., Kathryn Kelly, of New City, N.Y., Eddie McNaboe, of Louisville, Ky., Kevin McNaboe of Louisville, Ky. and Frank McNaboe of Orangeburg, N.Y.; uncle Edwin McNaboe of Setuaket, N.Y.; aunt Beatrice O'Brien of Lake Grove, N.Y.; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Arrangements for a private cremation were managed by the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home in Ramsey. A funeral service was held Jan. 10 at the First Presbyterian Church of Ramsey.
