Pterostilbene and Anti-Aging

If you are concerned about aging slower, you may want to look into a recently discovered antioxidant called pterostilbene!

Resveratrol is the antioxidant found in red wine.  Resveratrol  has be hailed as a powerful anti-aging agent.  Reseachers have recently found another antioxidant,
pterostilbene.  Initial research indicates that pterostilbene works synergistically with resveratrol to give you unprecedented anti-aging protection.

Pterostilbene is promising for supporting cardiovascular health by possibly lowering harmful LDL cholesterol and raising the beneficial HDL cholesterol.  It also may reduce inflammation and cellular stress.  More research needs to be done at this point to confirm these claims.

Blueberries contain pterostilbene, but it is not practical to eat enough bueberries to receive the full antioxidant benefits.  To get a protective dose, Dr, Whitaker recommends taking 50 mg per day of pterostilbene in supplement form.
