POLL: Are You Happy With Borders’ Replacement?

DSW is set to open in the Interstate Shopping Plaza next month

With signage up on its exterior and shelving units installed on the inside, the Interstate Shopping Center store previously occupied by Borders bookstore is nearly converted into a DSW.

According to a flier posted in a window on the storefront, the new store is set to open September 6. It is in the midst of hiring associates and sales staff, who can apply online.

The Ramsey location is one of many former Borders locations taken over by DSW since the bookstore chain went bankrupt in 2011.

DSW operates three other nearby stores, one in Paramus, one in the Palisades mall in NY, and one in Wayne.

So, Patch wants to know, are you happy the Designer Shoe Warehouse is coming to Ramsey?

I'm kind of blah on this topic. I'm glad they found someone to fill that huge space, but I wish it were an entertainment place (movies, bowling etc) instead of more retail.

yes, very excited for it, but would have loved to see some kind of entertainment, especially a bowling alley

Nothing can replace Borders!
