Jersey Burger Sales To Help 'Restore the Shore'

$2 of every 'New Jersey Burger' sold at Ramsey's Smashburger Wednesday will be donated to Hurricane Sandy victims

Wednesday is shaping up to be a day about helping victims of Hurricane Sandy still recovering from the devasdating effects of the storm.

If you didn’t snag a ticket to the 12-12-12 concert at Madison Square Garden, you can help out the relief effort by picking up lunch or dinner in Ramsey Wednesday.

Mascott Corporation, which owns 11 Smashburger locations in North Jersey, including the one on Route 17 North in Ramsey, announced this week it will be donating $2 from every “New Jersey Burger” sold Wednesday to the Restore the Shore Projects Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund.

The burger, named for the Garden State, is an Angus Beef burger topped with bacon, blue cheese, grilled onions, haystack onions, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise, on an onion bun.

Restore the Shore is a relief effort started by ERGO Clothing that has been working to provide donations and supplies to the areas of the Jersey Shore hardest hit by the hurricane.

“As New Jerseyans, every one of us has fond memories of the Jersey Shore - from spending time on its beautiful beaches, to its vibrant nightlife,” Scott Gillman, CEO of Mascott Corporation, said in a release. “At Smashburger, we wanted to do our part to contribute to hyper local relief organizations, like Restore the Shore, who are getting much needed supplies directly into the hands of those affected most by this tragedy.”
