Brooklyn Duo With Glass Jars Of Marijuana Arrested

Men pulled over in Ramsey are facing multiple charges

Two Brooklyn men were caught speeding up Route 17 North in Ramsey with more than 50 grams of marijuana in their car Saturday night, Chief Bryan Gurney said.

According to Gurney, driver Khalil Carter and passenger Donald Sealy, both 23, were pulled over by Ramsey Officer Casey Hines for speeding near the  on Route 17. After smelling an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle, Casey found more than 50 grams of marijuana packed in glass jars and ziplock bags in the trunk of the car, along with drug paraphernalia, and about $2,300 in cash, Gurney said.

Carter was charged with possession of more than 50 grams of marijuana and possession with intent to distribute, as well as motor vehicle violations, Gurney said. Sealy was charged with lesser possession charges, Gurney said.

According to police, both were released on their own recognizance with a future court date to appear in Ramsey Municipal Court.
